HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS have signed Hull KR hooker Bill Leyland on an initial two-week loan deal.
Leyland has only featured once for the Robins – in a Challenge Cup victory over Oldham – since signing from London Broncos ahead of this season.
He links up with a Huddersfield side still without a Super League win this year going into Sunday’s home tie with Catalans Dragons.
The Giants have previously signed Danny Richardson and Niall Evalds on loan from Hull KR, with the former recalled after one appearance and the latter on a season-long deal but currently sidelined with a broken foot suffered on debut.
Leyland’s arrival comes with first-choice nine Zac Woolford sidelined by an ankle injury, while trialist hooker Aiden Doolan broke his finger while training with the club.
