Hull KR reveal 2015 home kit

Hull Kingston Rovers will mark a fresh start for the club in 2015 by wearing a traditional home kit inspired by its proud and historic past, with the new-look shirt going on sale to supporters this evening (Friday).

Twelve signings have already been added to the club’s squad for next season when a new league format will be introduced for the first time and the Robins have now revealed one of the shirts they’ll be wearing in 2015 – an iconic red design with a blue band across the chest.

Once again produced by kit manufacturer FI-TA Sportswear and featuring main club sponsor ClearSky Business, the shirt will be finished off with white shorts and red socks in a strip similar to the one sported by the then Hull Kingston Amateurs when the club was founded back in 1882.

The design also pays tribute to the kits worn during the club’s first year in Super League as well as by the famous double-winning side of 1983/84 and Hull KR General Manager Joe Clutterbrook says it was a natural choice for an important campaign.

“This shirt has been famous throughout our history. It was the first one we ever wore and a lot of fans associate it with the team that won the Championship and Premiership double in the glory days of the Eighties.

“Celebrating the 30th anniversary of that achievement in May was one of the highlights of the year and we believe our new 2015 home kit will spark plenty of fond memories for our supporters.

“However, this is not just about reflecting on our history, we’re also looking to the future and with so many new faces arriving at the club it’s important they not only learn about our rich heritage but are inspired to emulate that success themselves.”

He added: “We have worked hard with FI-TA to get an initial order of replica shirts on sale earlier than last season and we are expecting demand to be high.

“A large numbers of fans have already pre-ordered the kit and with last year’s shirts selling out in record time, we would advise anybody who wants one to buy quickly to guarantee getting the size they need before Christmas.”

The new 2015 home shirt is on sale now (7pm) via the club’s online store and can be purchased www.hullkr.co.uk/homekit. It is priced at £45 for adults and ladies or £35 for juniors and will also be available at the Rovers Retail store in Savile Street from 9am tomorrow morning.upporters who have pre-ordered their shirt will be able to collect in store from tomorrow, whilst gold and silver membership holders can also claim their shirt by taking their voucher to the shop.
